Three BBK Partners Recognized by Lawyers of Color
Nonprofit Celebrates Attorneys Advancing Diversity in the Legal Profession
Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK) is proud to announce the recognition of Partners Alisha M. Winterswyk, Mrunal M. Shah and Lutfi Kharuf by Lawyers of Color, a Washington, D.C. nonprofit dedicated to “promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing democracy and equality in marginalized communities.”
Winterswyk and Shah were named to the organization’s inaugural “Wonderful Women 2023” list, which recognizes “dynamic women attorneys working in law firms, companies, and government agencies across the U.S. who show promise in their careers and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession.” The full list is available online.
Kharuf was named to the organization’s “Hot List 2023,” which recognizes early-to-mid-career attorneys who excel in the legal profession. Candidates are nominated by mentors, peers and colleagues, and the selection process focuses on candidates who actively participate in firms’ diversity initiatives.
