Tamara Sharkey is an associate in Best Best & Krieger’s Houston office. As a member of the firm’s Business practice group, Tamara advises clients on a variety of matters related to real estate transactions, public-private partnerships, public infrastructure development, master planned communities, land use and public finance, and has served as general and bond counsel for numerous special districts.
 
Tamara assists clients with creation of special districts, land development and bond issuance. This includes drafting development agreements, utility services agreements, interlocal agreements, cost reimbursement agreements, and orders and resolutions authorizing such agreements, as well as preparing creation, annexation and bond applications. She also helps clients manage all phases of real estate transactions, including purchases and sales, leases, easements and all ancillary agreements, such as assignments and assumption agreements, license agreements and company agreements. Her clients appreciate her thoroughness and attention to detail.
 
Before joining BB&K, Tamara was most recently an associate at SKLaw representing municipal utility districts, municipal management districts, water control and improvement districts, fresh water supply districts and other special districts.
 
Tamara is originally from Ventura, California, and lives in Kemah, Texas. She enjoys baking, scuba diving and fabricating and casting metal jewelry.
