Stephen is a civil litigator experienced in serving both private business and public entity clients up to and through trial. His practice broadly encompasses all aspects and stages of litigation for clients at both the trial and appellate court levels, and his practice encompasses contract claims, business disputes, tort litigation, trust and estate litigation and a variety of real property disputes.
 
Stephen is two-time recipient of San Diego Super Lawyers’ Rising Star award. He was also trial and appellate counsel in a key published decision concerning Anti-SLAPP in the context of trust and estate litigation. (Gaynor v. Bulen (2018) 19 Cal.App.5th 864.)
 
While in law school, Stephen was a published author and associate editor for the Santa Clara Law Review. Stephen also worked as a judicial extern in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California for Judge Arthur Weissbrodt.
 
Stephen is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern districts of California, as well as the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
