Seth Merewitz provides advisory and transactional services to public agencies, developers, landowners and other private entities. He is a partner in the Municipal Law practice group and heads the Public-Private Partnership group at Best Best & Krieger LLP.
Seth’s practice focuses on municipal law and complex real estate development, entitlements and land use matters, including master-planned communities and military base reuse. Seth advises applicants on entitlement, regulatory matters and permit processing, and is a leading authority on public-private partnerships and government assistance in California. Projects involve in-fill and mixed-use development, shopping centers, infrastructure financing, and commercial and industrial development.
Professional and Community Involvement
Seth is a member of the Urban Land Institute. He is part of the leadership of the Los Angeles District Council and served on the national ULI Residential Neighborhood Development Product Council.
Prior to joining the firm in 2010, he was a shareholder with McDonough Holland & Allen in Sacramento. He served as contract city attorney for the City of Marysville, and was appointed Planning Commissioner in Yolo County. Seth is admitted to practice law in the State of California.
