Rebecca Maddox is an associate with Best Best & Krieger LLP’s Municipal Law practice group. She handles a variety of transactional and litigation matters related to municipal law.
Prior to joining BB&K, Rebecca practiced litigation in California’s Central Valley, focusing on helping public entities, groups and companies navigate land use and water issues. She litigated and advised on matters ranging from the California Public Records Act to the California Environmental Quality Act, or CEQA, and land use entitlement challenges to the adjudication of water rights in California. Previously, Rebecca served as a fellow, and then counsel to several committees in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. She conducted oversight and investigations of executive branch agencies and private entities to ensure accountability and prevent fraud, waste and abuse of government resources.
Rebecca is based Sacramento where she lives with her spouse and two dogs.
