Patrick Donegan currently serves as the City Attorney for the Cities of Hermosa Beach and Rolling Hills, and Assistant City Attorney for the Cities of Malibu and Hawaiian Gardens. Through transparent and effective counsel, Pat ensures that the councils and commissions he advises operate legally to best serve their constituents in an ever-changing environment. Pat’s extensive litigation experience allows him to effectively guide his clients to avoid unexpected risks or pitfalls while implementing their respective policy decisions. 

Pat is a member of BBK's Municipal Law practice group. His practice emphasizes all aspects of local governmental law, including the Brown Act, Public Records Act, and the Political Reform Act. Further, Pat has developed a strong understanding of all areas of the Coastal Act due to his years of representing coastal cities.

Prior to joining BBK, Pat was an attorney at Jenkins & Hogin, LLP and Rutan & Tucker, LLP where he practiced municipal law. Pat is a proud graduate of USC’s Gould School of Law. He is admitted to practice in California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
