Nathalie assists in a variety of transaction and litigation matters relating to Municipal Law.

She assists local governments and public agencies with land use, the Brown Act and the California Public Records Act.

Nathalie has worked for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund and for Bet Tzedek Legal Services.


Before joining Best Best & Krieger LLP, Nathalie Camarena worked as a paralegal at an employment law firm. She also served as a law clerk for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, where she assisted in developing public policy initiatives that protect the civil rights of Latinos across the United States.
While attending University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Nathalie externed for the Hon. Fernando M. Olguin in the U.S. District Court for the Central District  of California. She also served as a law clerk for the Center of Worklife Law in San Francisco. There, she assisted in creating concrete legal initiatives that seek to advance gender equality in the workplace, including issues regarding eliminating barriers for pregnant and breastfeeding workers and preventing family responsibilities discrimination.
Nathalie also worked for the Employment Rights Project at Bet Tzedek Legal Services, where she gathered evidence for cases to be litigated before the California Labor Commissioner’s Office. She served as the President of UC Hasting’s Law Raza Law Student Association.
Nathalie is the youngest daughter of immigrant parents from Mexico.
