Melizza Gonzalez is a paralegal in the Municipal Law Practice group of Best Best & Krieger LLP. Her work focuses on the California Public Records Act and assisting public agency clients with records request responses. Under the supervision of attorneys, Melizza work closely with clients to determine the scope of searches and disclosures of responsive public records and reviews databases of documents to determine responsiveness. Melizza has more than 5 years of paralegal experience, mostly with public agencies in California.

Prior to joining BB&K, Melizza spent time pursuing her dream of cooking professionally. She received her culinary arts certificate from Mt. San Antonio College and continues to cook alongside other chefs. She’s also worked as a paralegal for the County of San Bernardino’s Self Help Center, Los Angeles Unified School District’s Office of General Counsel and at a private firm handling bankruptcies.
 
Melizza grew up and still lives in Chino with her son. She enjoys cooking, painting, traveling, watching baseball (she’s a Yankees fan) and, most of all, spending time with her son, who keeps her very busy with school and sports activities.
