Kathy was a post-graduate law fellow at the Land Use Division of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office.

She also has experience working with extraordinary writ petitions and appeals.

Kathy advises municipal clients on a range of public law and land use matters.

Kathy Shin is an associate in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s Municipal Law practice group.
 
Prior to joining the firm, Kathy was a post-graduate law fellow at the Land Use Division of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office, where she worked on matters relating to the California Environmental Quality Act and digital sign regulation. She also worked as a judicial intern for the Second District Court of Appeal, where she was responsible for reviewing both extraordinary writ petitions and appeals. Kathy focused on administrative law during law school and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Environmental Law.
 
In addition to reading law, Kathy enjoys reading philosophy, exploring new cities and running. She completed the L.A. Marathon with her father before entering law school. 
 
Kathy is licensed to practice law in the State of California.
