Johnathan earned his bachelor’s degree in communications and is a former journalist.


Johnathan Kroncke is a paralegal with the Environmental Law & Natural Resources practice group at Best Best & Krieger LLP. Since 2011, Johnathan has worked alongside private property and business owners, land developers, and public agencies on development projects both large and small.
Johnathan’s work centers around environmental regulation compliance, including the California Environmental Quality Act and the National Environmental Policy Act. He focuses on the preparation and review of administrative records for new public and private projects, analyzing environmental impact reports, legal research, and managing litigation deadlines. He also assists public agencies in responding to requests made under the California Public Records Act, and works closely with the firm’s attorneys in drafting litigation documents and other correspondence.
Prior to joining BB&K, Johnathan worked at a boutique land use and eminent domain law firm in Los Angeles. There, he worked with business and property owners on projects like the Regional Connector Subway Project and the Gold Line subway extension, as well as other property rights litigation at both the state and federal levels. He also has experience working in a variety of areas, including personal injury law, employment law, landlord-tenant disputes, mass torts and bankruptcy law.
Prior to attending to the University of California, San Diego for his paralegal certification, Johnathan was a sports and editorial writer for several publications.
