Daniel Richards is an associate in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s Business practice group, where he represents clients in litigation involving business and employment disputes, intellectual property and insurance bad faith. Daniel also represents public agencies and municipalities in a variety of litigation matters.
 
Prior to joining BB&K, Daniel was a litigation associate at a Washington firm where he represented clients in state and federal litigation. Daniel represented clients in matters ranging from consumer protection, discrimination, retaliation and the Public Records Act to the Clean Water Act and complex toxic tort litigation.
 
While at the University of Washington, School of Law, Daniel was a managing editor of the Washington Law Review, and a member of the Moot Court Honor Board. He received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Civil Procedure I and II, Water Law, Law & Economics and Constitutional Law II.
 
While in law school, Daniel served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert S. Lasnisk at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. Daniel has a passion for community service. He is an Eagle Scout, and served as a marine educator for a nonprofit organization before law school. Since becoming an attorney, he has volunteered regularly for a pro bono legal clinic, and represented a low-income housing association on a pro bono basis.
 
Daniel lives in Irvine with his wife, Stephanie, where they enjoy cooking, hiking, and spending time with their loving dog, Sullivan. Daniel is licensed to practice law in the states of California and Washington, and is admitted to all the Washington districts and the Central District of California of the U.S. District Court.
