Best Best & Krieger Partner Billy Williams was selected as a 2022 recipient of the National Economic Security Alliance’s (NESA) William H. Webster Profiles in Leadership Awards, which recognize those in public service who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and set an example for others to follow. Williams was recognized in the Prosecutorial Community category. All 2022 recipients were formally honored during an awards ceremony hosted by the Boeing Company on Oct. 7th, 2022.

“It was truly an honor to be recognized with this award and I thank NESA for their work and spotlight on such important issues,” Williams said. “I am privileged to work in a field and at a firm that affords me so many unique opportunities in leadership and opportunities to work on behalf of the community.”

Williams, who was also recently appointed to the Foundation for Drug Policy Solutions Leadership Council, served for 20 years with the Department of Justice and as U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon before entering private practice with BBK. He now serves as a partner in the firm’s Environmental & Natural Resources practice group and serves his clients in Oregon and across the nation with fervent advocacy, always committed to solving the seemingly unsolvable.

The William H. Webster Profiles in Leadership Awards Program was established to honor Judge Webster’s distinguished career as a respected leader. Leaders in the various categories of these awards play a significant role in ensuring the country’s current and future economic security. For over seven decades, Judge Webster has demonstrated devotion to public service during an illustrious career serving the country he loves.

The awards committee is comprised of the NESA Board of Directors. NESA’s mission is to educate policymakers at the federal, state and local levels, as well as business leaders and the general public on issues impacting the economic security of Americans. NESA also conducts research on a broad range of issues impacting economic security.
