Our Thirsty State

Best Best & Krieger LLP attorney Sarah Foley will be a panelist and Partner Lindsay Puckett will serve as moderator for “Our Thirsty State” at the Association of Women in Water, Energy and Environment’s 2017 Conference. While the past year has seen record levels of snow and rainfall, climate change and history guarantee unpredictability and dry years ahead. Panelists will discuss California’s new groundwater law and how it is working to inform planning and sustainable groundwater management, plans for building more dams (or not) in California, new investments in water treatment and groundwater recharge programs to create more diverse sources of potable water supply, and areas of innovation in data and information to help us make more informed choices about managing water supply.
