Collective Bargaining and Labor Relations

BB&K attorneys have broad experience with public sector labor/management issues, including impasse procedures, grievance and arbitration procedures, contract implementation and administration issues, union representation proceedings, wage-hour and employee safety matters, strikes and other job actions, and injunctive relief actions. We also assist public agencies in complying with the Fair Labor Standards Act through representation before the Department of Labor and development of personnel policies which take advantage of new exemptions in the Act. We serve as chief spokespersons in negotiations and provide services such as drafting contract language, analyzing proposals from employee organizations, and preparing detailed confidential minutes of sessions.
