BB&K attorneys have substantial experience conducting labor negotiations for public sector clients.  We defend clients from unfair labor practice allegations filed with the National Labor Relations Board and the Public Employment Relations Board.  We regularly assist employers in responding to grievances and in grievance arbitration. BB&K also advises and represents employers in union representation proceedings and elections.

Our attorneys routinely advise public sector clients on employee termination and disciplinary matters.  We provide advice and representation on all aspects of the Skelly process as well as post-disciplinary appeals.

BB&K assists its employer clients in developing and administering employment policies designed to avoid liability in the workplace.  These policies run the gamut of employment law and include such contemporary subjects as arbitration, family and medical leave, drug and alcohol testing, e-mail and internet usage, Americans with Disabilities Act matters, workplace violence, at-will termination, and disciplinary measures.
