San Diego

The San Diego office of Best Best & Krieger LLP announced today that well known business and real estate transactional attorney F. Gregory Pyke has joined the firm as a partner. Pyke was previously an executive partner with Higgs, Fletcher & Mack where he headed the firm’s transactional practice. Prior to being with Higgs, he was the national practice chair for McKenna Long & Aldridge’s Business/Real Estate Department, where he oversaw 95 attorneys.

The addition of Pyke at Best Best & Krieger positions the San Diego office as full service, with the ability to provide businesses and public agencies with the spectrum of general, business and real estate transactional legal services.

"Greg is a great fit for us. His vast experience will be a tremendous benefit to our clients,” says Shawn D. Hagerty, managing partner of Best Best & Krieger’s local office. “Our plan for San Diego has been to expand our services so we could fully meet the needs of businesses. With the addition of Greg, we’ve met that initial goal. We also see Greg as the first step in developing a larger business practice in San Diego.”

In additional to business and real estate transactional services, Best Best & Krieger provides employment and labor law, litigation, environmental law and other services critical to business and real estate clients. The firm also has the largest public agency law practice in the region, representing all types of public entities.

During his 27 years as a real estate and business attorney, Pyke has developed extensive experience in the structuring and operations of businesses and companies in a variety of industries and sectors. Many of his clients are manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, retail and service businesses, real estate developers and owners, commercial borrowers and lenders, high-tech and bio-tech startups, and nonprofits. He often advises on entity formation, business and real estate matters, and large commercial transactions, including financing. Pyke is a popular speaker on subjects of interest to the real estate, securities, and business sectors. For seven years he chaired the annual California Continuing Education of the Bar program entitled "Recent Developments in Business Practice."
