SAN DIEGO, CA -- Cyndy Day-Wilson, a partner with the San Diego office of Best Best & Krieger, has been appointed to the State Bar of California Environmental Law Section’s Executive Committee. Day-Wilson heads Best Best & Krieger’s San Diego Environmental Law and Natural Resources practice. As a member of the section’s executive committee, Day-Wilson will help oversee the strategy aspects of the section which include further education in the fields of law affecting the environment and environmental regulatory law. She will serve a three-year term.
Day-Wilson specializes in providing litigation and business counsel to clients involved in federal and state environmental matters. Her expertise is enhanced by her tenure as a lobbyist and legislative analyst for the National Conference of State Legislatures; as a professor at the University of Redlands in the Liberal Studies/Environmental Emphasis degree program; chairing Civil Litigation and Environmental Law practice groups at large law firms.
Day-Wilson is the author of Federal Environmental Issues in Commercial Leasing: A Practitioner’s Guide published by The Environmental Lawyer and is a contributing editor and author for the California State Bar Environmental Law Section Legal Update. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for the San Diego County Public Law Library and a member of the California Bar Association, Environmental Law Section; the San Diego County Bar Association, Environmental and Land Use Committee; and the South Bay Bar Association.
