BB&K Attorneys Successfully Remove Misleading Statements in Prop T Opposing Argument Ballot Material for Client

BB&K Litigation Partner Brant Dveirin, representing firm client Kevin McCann (a Tri-City Healthcare District resident), argued before a San Diego Superior Court Judge that four misleading or false statements included in the “Argument Against Proposition T” ballot material should be deleted. The Judge agreed and ordered all four statements stricken from the ballot material one day before the deadline for changes to ballot statements.

Prop T is a $596 million Tri-City Healthcare District bond measure that will appear on San Diego County’s November 7, 2006 ballot. If approved, funds will be used to upgrade and expand the Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside to meet statewide earthquake standards and the needs of a growing population. The Tri-City Healthcare District covers most of Oceanside, Vista and Carlsbad.

Congratulations to the BB&K litigation team, including Brant Dveirin, William "Woody" Merrill, Christopher Pisano, and Heather Kenny.
