Eric Garner to Speak on California Water Law at International Bar Association Conference

BB&K Managing Partner Eric L. Garner has been invited to speak at the International Bar Association's Annual Conference in Singapore on October 15, 2007.  The session, "Private Ownership of Water," will examine the pros and cons of private ownership of water rights looking at world practice and at the results on prices, availability to consumers and conservation.  Eric will discuss how water is regulated in the Western United States, privatization case studies in the United States and the challenges California is facing.  He will be joined in this session by water law attorneys Eric Rieger from Brussels, Belgium and Olubunmi Fayokun from Lagos, Nigeria.
