Best Best & Krieger attorneys, Eric Garner and Roderick Walston are co-chairing this year's CLE Western Water Law Conference. The popular annual conference is attended by more than 100 esteemed water law professionals throughout the western states.  This year's conference will provide an overview of the major current issues in western water law from global warming and new restrictions on developing without water, to updates on recent Supreme Court cases impacting all western states.  In addition to daily opening remarks, Mr. Walston will speak on the Supreme Court's National Association of Home Builders Decision and the implications for the ESA and the CWA; and Mr. Garner will speak on The Relationship Between Water Supply and Land Use Planning.  BB&K Partner, Jill Willis, will speak on Ethics: Considerations for the Environmental Professional

The keynote presentation, Water Issues: The View from the Interior, will be given by David L. Bernhardt, Esq., Solicitor, U.S. Department of the Interior, Washington, DC.  The conference will also feature speakers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Department of Justice, Pacific Legal Foundation, Colorado River Commission of Nevada, New Mexico Office of the Attorney General and the University of Kansas.
