Melanie Donnelly is an associate with the Municipal Law Practice Group of Best Best & Krieger LLP's Walnut Creek Office. Her primary clients are the City of Lafayette and the Town of Colma.

Prior to joining the firm Ms. Donnelly practiced commercial litigation in San Francisco representing clients in a variety of areas including toxic tort, personal injury, breach of contract, professional malpractice, insurance and asbestos defense. 

Ms. Donnelly received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2005. While in law school, she interned with the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office and also with a large San Francisco firm doing commercial litigation.  She received her B.A. in Spanish, cum laude, with a minor in politics and international studies from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 2000.

Ms. Donnelly was admitted to practice in California in 2005.  She is a member of the San Francisco and Contra Costa Bar Associations.
