Ms. Byrens is a Partner in the Public Finance Practice Group of Best Best & Krieger. She has been in the firm’s public finance group since 1990.  Ms. Byrens has worked on financings as either bond counsel, underwriter’s or disclosure counsel involving Marks-Roos Joint Financing Authority revenue bonds, Mello-Roos bonds, assessment district bonds, revenue bonds, tax allocation bonds and certificates of participation.  She has also worked as bond counsel in several special tax bond restructures.  She has worked on variable rate financings, commercial paper notes and financings involving sales of call rights and forward purchases. 

She is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the State Bar of California and the Riverside Bar Association.  Ms. Byrens graduated from the University of California at Irvine in 1987 and received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1990.  She has been with Best Best & Krieger LLP since 1990 and became a partner in 1999.
