Mancy Pendergrass is an associate attorney in the Los Angeles office.  Her primary practice groups are municipal law and litigation.  She joined Best Best & Krieger LLP after working for the firm as a summer associate.

Ms. Pendergrass graduated with great distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and was elected to the Order of the Coif, an international academic honor association.  While in law school, Ms. Pendergrass was a staff writer and a primary comment editor for the McGeorge Law Review.  She was awarded an Am. Jur. award for earning the highest grade in Legal Research and Writing.  Additionally, Ms. Pendergrass was also awarded the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award, which is given to the graduating senior that the faculty determined made the greatest scholarly contribution to the law school. 

During law school, Ms. Pendergrass also clerked for the Federal Defender’s Office for the Eastern District of California in both the felony and misdemeanor divisions.  While there, Ms. Pendergrass gained experience litigating misdemeanor cases.   Additionally, she worked as a research assistant to Professor Ruth Jones. 

Prior to law school, Ms. Pendergrass graduated summa cum laude from Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a B.A. in Philosophy and Russian.  She was also the Valedictorian of her graduating class.  Ms. Pendergrass was born and raised in Nashville, TN.
