Appellate Practice Litigation Practice

Kira L. Klatchko is an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group of Best Best & Krieger LLP.  Her  practice centers on Civil Litigation and Appeals.  Ms. Klatchko began studying appellate law while working as a summer Law Clerk at the Fourth Appellate District in Riverside.  She has experience with both state and federal appeals and has handled matters arising from all areas of civil practice, ranging from general civil procedure to marital dissolution and probate.

Ms. Klatchko was born and raised in Palm Springs, California.  She graduated with Distinction from the University of California, Berkeley, where she received her degree in Political Science.  She received her law degree from the University of California, Davis.  While at Davis, Ms. Klatchko acted as a teaching assistant in both legal research and civil procedure courses, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the UC Davis Journal of Juvenile Law & Policy, was a voting member of the Minority Recruitment, Retention, and Outreach Fund Committee, and acted as a “Big Sib” Student Mentor.  After graduating from law school Ms. Klatchko began practicing law in her family firm, Klatchko & Klatchko, Attorneys at Law, in Palm Springs.  Thereafter she accepted a position as an Associate Attorney with Best, Best, & Krieger.  Ms. Klatchko is a proud member of numerous clubs and organizations in the Coachella Valley, including the Palm Springs SunUp Rotary Club and the Warren E. Slaughter Chapter of the American Inn of Court.  She also serves as a mock-trial coach for the Palm Springs High School Mock Trial team.
