Mr. Mueller is a Partner in the Litigation Practice Group of Best Best & Krieger LLP.  His primary practice area is civil litigation including extensive trial work in State and Federal Courts in the areas of real estate, business, business torts, probate, and trust litigation.  In addition, he is general counsel to a growing number of private country clubs in the Coachella Valley.

Mr. Mueller’s real estate work focuses on litigation of purchase and sale transactions for developers, contractors and subcontractors, as well as municipalities.  The subject matter has included contract issues, easements, CC&R interpretation and enforcement, CEQA actions and endangered species claims.

Mr. Mueller’s business and business-tort litigation background includes handling a wide range of partnership and shareholder disputes, securities fraud claims, RICO actions, partnership dissolutions and business interference claims.

In areas of probate and trust litigation, Mr. Mueller has tried will contest actions, claims to recover assets on behalf of Estates and various trust and will interpretation actions.

Mr. Mueller is currently general counsel for several private country clubs in the Coachella Valley, providing advice on an ongoing basis in areas that include interpretation and enforcement of bylaws, employment matters, member relations, and litigation management.

Mr. Mueller is currently the secretary and a trustee of the Desert Bar Association.  For three years he served as the Bar Association Chairman of the Bar/Court Mediation Subcommittee.  In that capacity he has supervised the administration of the Court Mediation program in the Indio branch of the Riverside County Superior Court.  He currently serves as a volunteer Mediator and Settlement Conference Judge Pro-Tem in that Court.  In that capacity, he has mediated a wide range of cases, including real estate disputes, business torts, contract disputes, personal injury and medical malpractice claims.

Mr. Mueller obtained his BA in Economics from UCSB in 1980 and his JD from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1984.  He joined BB&K immediately after law school in order to practice in the community where he grew up.  He has lived in Palm Springs since 1962.
