Gregory L. Hardke is a Partner in the Real Estate Law Practice Group of Best Best & Krieger LLP.  He has been with the firm for nearly 20 years.  Mr. Hardke’s practice primarily involves transactional real estate matters and general business matters.

Mr. Hardke represents real estate owners, developers and lenders with respect to a wide range of real estate projects, including the acquisition, financing, development, leasing, management and sale of office buildings, industrial properties, shopping centers, mixed-use projects, residential development, and hotels projects.

Mr. Hardke represented the City of Claremont in its acquisition of over 1200 acres of hillside property in connection with the City’s creation of a wilderness preserve.  He has represented Avery Dennison Corporation in a number of real estate leasing matters in Southern California, including the company’s long-term lease of a 140,000 square foot building in Brea, California. 

Mr. Hardke has also served as landowner’s lead counsel in the sale under threat of condemnation of over 1000 acres of inland Southern California property to the Metropolitan Water District in connection with the District’s creation of the Diamond Valley Reservoir (formerly, the Domenigoni Valley Reservoir), now the largest reservoir in Southern California.


He has also served as California lender’s counsel for Citicorp and Bank of America in multi-million dollar commercial lending transactions.


Mr. Hardke also represents a number of business entities, including a privately held electronics component manufacturer with operations based in California with worldwide manufacturing and sales operations, a modular building company and one of the largest  multi-specialty medical groups in Southern California.


Mr. Hardke is a member of the American, California, Orange County and Riverside County Bar Associations, and the Real Property Section of the California State Bar.  He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is active in numerous professional, civic and charitable organizations.


Mr. Hardke resides in Newport Beach, California with his wife and their son.
