Dennis G. Bezanson

Dennis G. Bezanson is Of Counsel in the Bankruptcy group of the law firm of Best Best & Krieger LLP. He has 29 years of experience in bankruptcy practice, including representation of:

Chapter 11 debtors
Chapter 11 creditors and equity holders’ committees
Creditors
Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy trustees
Chapter 7 and 13 debtors

Mr. Bezanson also served as a Chapter 7 panel trustee in both Maine and New Hampshire; and as a Chapter 11, 12, and 13 trustee. He has also represented State Court receivers and assignees for the benefit of creditors, as well as served as an assignee.

Mr. Bezanson was President and Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees from 1991-1993. He also co-drafted the 1994 Amendment to Section 326 of the Bankruptcy Code and testified before the U. S. Senate Judiciary Committee in support of that legislation.

He has also been a panelist at many continuing education seminars.
