First Year Law Student Diversity Fellowship/Scholarship Program
Best Best & Krieger LLP is committed to recruiting, hiring, developing, promoting and retaining attorneys and staff of diverse backgrounds. With those goals in mind, BB&K is pleased to offer its First Year Law Student Diversity Fellowship/Scholarship Program. This program will provide the recipient with a paid 2012 summer associate position in one of its participating offices: Ontario, Riverside, Sacramento or San Diego. To qualify for the $7,500 academic scholarship, the recipient student selected must be invited and must return to BB&K for its second year summer program in 2013. One of the firm’s ongoing recruitment goals is to increase the diversity of our attorneys and staff. We have a diverse recruitment committee that actively looks for opportunities to attract individuals with a wide range of backgrounds to our firm at the staff, summer clerk, entry-level and lateral hire levels.
Professional Development
We provide professional development and mentoring programs with sensitivity to the diverse needs of all participants. We also support our attorneys' outside professional development opportunities, including membership in diversity-minded professional organizations.
Promotion
BB&K fosters a culture where opportunities for success are available to everyone. To this point, the majority of our partners joined the firm right out of law school and successfully developed their careers within BB&K. Associates have a voice at BB&K, allowing them to actively contribute to firm administration and decision-making.
